Telehealth allows patients to access specialist care using secure video technology, such as Doxy.me. This enables convenient consultations with our endocrinologists without the need to attend in person.
Telehealth appointments can be arranged directly with patients or facilitated through their GP clinic, with support from general practitioners (GPs) and nurse practitioners. This service is particularly beneficial for patients in rural and remote areas, improving access to specialist care. Endocrinology Melbourne is committed to supporting GPs in the management of patients through telehealth services.

Credit Card Policy
A valid credit card is required to secure all Telehealth appointments. No charges will be processed until after your consultation has been completed.

Consultation Requirements
All required documentation must be received prior to your appointment, including:
- Referral
- Medicare details
- Relevant medical history
These can be provided via email or fax.
Technology
Consultations are conducted via Doxy.me. A secure link will be sent via text message approximately 7 days prior to your appointment, along with your appointment reminder
On the day of your appointment, simply click the link at your scheduled time to join the consultation.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to appointments. Failure to provide sufficient notice may incur a cancellation fee.

All patient information including Referral, Medicare Number and relevant patient history must be faxed or emailed to Endocrinology Melbourne prior to the appointment.

The preferred method of communication is Doxyme & SKYPE. Please contact our office if your practice uses a different communication software.
