Dr Matthew Sawyer

Endocrinologist

Dr Matthew Sawyer initially graduated from Monash University’s Victorian College of Pharmacy with First Class Honours and worked as a pharmacist for a number of years. He went on to study postgraduate medicine at Deakin University and subsequently completed his specialist physician training at Monash Health, Eastern Health and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
 
Dr Sawyer’s research has been published in international and national journals and he has presented at numerous conferences.
 
In addition to private practice, Dr Sawyer is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
 
He has broad clinical interests and welcomes referrals in all areas of endocrinology, including diabetes, weight management and metabolic risk, osteoporosis, men’s and women’s hormonal issues, lipid disorders, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal diseases.
