Dr Mardiana Lee

Nephrologist

Dr. Mardiana Lee completed her specialist Nephrology training at Austin and Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is a Consultant Nephrologist at the Austin Hospital where she sees patients in General Nephrology and Renal Transplant Clinics. She is also a General Medicine Physician at the Austin Hospital where she is involved in supervising and mentoring junior doctors and trainees. She is keen to close the gap between metropolitan and rural healthcare services by providing an outreach Nephrology service for the East Gippsland area.

She is currently completing her PhD studying the role of metabolism in development of renal fibrosis. She received a NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship and Austin Medical Research Foundation Scholarship. She has received a RACP Jacquot NHMRC Award for Excellence, AMRF Higher Degree Award and was a finalist for the Young Investigator Basic Science Award at Annual Scientific Meeting of Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology. She also has a keen interest in polycystic kidney disease and is continuing her research in this area.

Dr Lee welcomes all referrals in all aspects of nephrology including diabetes kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, various stages of chronic kidney diseases and renal transplantation.
